In 2017, Sally Mankus moved back to Colorado and now lives and works in Windsor, Colorado. She received a B.A. degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a B.S. from the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, Colorado. She attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs from 1987-89 where her focus was painting and drawing.

Mankus was awarded a Florida Individual Artist Fellowship in 1994. She has been included in newspaper articles, catalogues, and publications including New American Paintings, The Open Studios Press, June 1998 and July 2001. Mankus’ work has been exhibited nationally and is in the collections of the New Orleans Museum of Art, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and numerous private collections.

Mankus traveled widely while growing up, living in places across the US and internationally. She lived in France, California, Hawaii, Texas, and for many years in Colorado before moving to Florida in 1991…finally returning to Colorado in 2017. Her travels continue.
